Meat the World is a butcher shop with locations in Lochristi and Anderlecht. We would like to give you a brief explanation about our history, locations and working method.
Meat the World has 2 locations. In Lochristi, all our meat is prepared and cut. Here you can pick up your orders on Friday afternoon from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
Please note: our butcher shop in Lochristi is only a pick-up point, not a store.
Our 2nd location is located in the Foodmet in Anderlecht. Here you can go on Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 7:00 AM to 2:00 PM to stand V13 to pick up your order or to choose and buy your meat on site. The Foodmet is an indoor food hall where you can find meat, fish, poultry, vegetables, fruit, cheeses, olives and much more under one roof. Thanks to the atmospheric setting, architecture and unique concept, shopping here is a pleasure all year round.
Every day our team is ready to serve you with a smile. In our butcher shop in Lochristi, our employees cut the meat and make all meat preparations. All meat is then transported to our store in Anderlecht, where we fill the display and prepare all orders.
Our story begins in 1960 at the covered market in Anderlecht, where the meat was still displayed on wooden planks. In 1985, the meat market was opened, where we have been active ever since. When the Foodmet opened at the end of May 2015, Ben and Vanessa decided that the time was ripe for a completely new concept. They invested in a renovated, expanded workshop that we fully equipped with the latest machines and started producing charcuterie, smoked and cooked products ourselves.
In addition, we also decided to look beyond borders and offer international products and specialties. Hence also our new name: Meat the World. Feel free to come and taste our renewed concept and discover all our products at our location in Anderlecht.
