Meat the World is a butcher shop offering quality meat products at our outlets in Lochristi and Anderlecht. We like to give you some more information about our history, outlets and method of working.

Outlets

Meat the World has 2 outlets. We prepare and cut up all our meat in Lochristi. You can also pick up your order here on Friday afternoon from 4.30 until 6 p.m.

Mind: Lochristi is just a collection point, not a shop.

Our second outlet is located at the Foodmet in Anderlecht. You can pick up your order at booth V13 on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 7 a.m. until 2 p.m. or buy your meat products on the spot. The Foodmet is a food market hall where you can buy meat, fish, poultry, vegetables, fruit, cheese, olives and much more under 1 roof. Thanks to its lovely atmosphere, its architecture and unique concept, you will love shopping here all year long.

Our method of working

Our team is happy to be at your service all day long. Our employees cut up the meat in Lochristi and prepare all our meat products. All our products are then transported to our outlet in Anderlecht, where we fill our counter and prepare the orders.

A piece of history

Our story begins in 1960, at the market hall in Anderlecht, where our meat products were displayed on wooden boards. We always have been present at the food market ever since its opening in 1985. When the Foodmet was opened in May 2015, Ben and Vanessa decided that the time had come to change tack. They renovated and expanded the production area that is now fully equipped with the most modern machinery and started to produce homemade lunch meat, smoked and cooked meat products.

Furthermore, we decided to broaden our horizons and to start offering international meat products and specialties. Hence our brand new company name: Meat the World. We are happy to let you discover our renewed recipe and taste all our products at one of our outlets in Lochristi or Anderlecht.
