Chaumes® comes from Saint-Antoine-de-Breuilh in Dordogne. The cheese gets its name from its beautiful orangey colour reminiscent of the golden wheat fields of its region of origin.
The cheese is made from cow's milk, has a washed rind and combines a complex aroma with a soft texture. The rind is perfectly edible and delicious with a plain piece of bread or used as the main ingredient in a tartiflette or with a gratin dish!
